Just picked up UFC 5 after skipping UFC 4. Honestly... first impressions are mixed. The visuals are ????, but the clinch still feels weird and awkward to control. Anyone else feel like they improved the graphics more than the gameplay?

Yeah, I agree. The new damage system looks brutal (in a good way), but ground transitions still feel a bit slow and clunky. That said, career mode is a step up. Your fighter finally gets injured realistically — forces you to think long-term. You can check their updates here btw: https://www.ea.com/games/ufc/ufc-5

I’m with you on the clinch. Feels like it’s stuck between arcade and sim. But to be fair, striking is cleaner now. Way less input lag and combos feel snappier. Also they added more realistic TKO sequences — I got stopped on cuts twice already ????

Lmao yeah the cuts system is savage. Got my eye swollen shut in round 2 and couldn’t see half the screen. Also noticed the AI finally blocks intelligently. No more spamming body kicks and winning on AI dumbness ????

Side note — if anyone’s into extras like fighter packs or credits, I tried one of those new sweepstakes casinos sites last week. It had a promo for EA Wallet credit + UFC 5 merch draw. Actually worked — got $5 and a controller skin lol. Not game-changing, but nice if you're already grinding online.

Oh I’ve seen that promo floating around on Twitter. Thought it was cap tbh — might check it now that I’m deep into ranked mode ???? Also: anyone else feel like they finally fixed the online lag? I’ve had smooth fights all day.

Same here. I don’t know if it’s better servers or fewer rage quitters, but the online’s felt super clean this week. Now if only they’d fix the matchmaking — why am I fighting people with 800 more points than me? ????

That’s classic EA. One step forward, two matchmaking disasters ???? Still, UFC 5 might be the best one so far. If they patch a few things, it’ll be solid.
